I am seriously considering starting to carry Pullip/Taeyang/Dal/Byul in the shop starting next year.  There are a lot of retailers out there that carry stock of these dolls at their shop.  If you are familiar with the Princess Tapi shop, I started out creating handmade clothing for Pullip & Taeyang.  This eventually grew into Custom Commissions for clothing as well as Custom Dolls.  I decided to bring in Obitsu as one of the many products that we carry and thanks to everyone’s support, has done quite well.

I want to start offering Pullip/Taeyang/Dal/Byul so that will help me maintain the services that I currently offer as well as make it much easier for customers that are interested in commissioning custom Dolls (but don’t have a blank head to send to me).  Since I am just starting out it is impossible for me to stock all the dolls that have been released.  Will you, as a customer, be interested in pre-ordering dolls (even the older ones) if given a bonus (either by points collection that can be redeemed at the shop or a pre-order discount)?

This isn’t set in stone yet but I would like to find out how collectors feel about this.  Please feel free to drop me a line or leave a comment to let me know what you think!

It’s been awhile since I made Taeyang items for the shop.  The latest arrival at the shop for Taeyang are BND (Boy Next Door) Regular Fit Jeans.  These are available in Grunge Black, Medium Blue denim with Fade and light blue denim with Fade.

I’ve wanted to re-structure the Custom Clothing Orders structure for quite some time.  During the past 2 years I’ve managed to tweak the store to make this process easier for the customer and more “self-serve”.  I have re-organized everything in the “Clothing Company” section into Brands -> In-stock | Pre-order items.  This will make it easier for the customer to look at all the items that are available without having to switch to too many categories.  There are also a lot of customizing options available to the customer in the pre-order section.  For example, you can start with a pair of jeans and choose the colour of the thread, fabric, whether to add chains, pockets, buttons, etc right at the product page.  I have also added a fabric/hardware guide of the colours and patterns that are available.  Not all materials are suitable for all designs so only the ones that are suitable will be available as options in the product page.  You can then add that to your cart, Regular Airmail shipping will be calculated automatically by the store, and pay for the custom order right away.  Depending on my schedule, most items will be ready within a week after placing the order.  But just to be safe, I’m estimating that it will take 1-2 weeks after payment clears.

I will contact the customer right after the order is placed to confirm all the details before constructing the item.  The customer will receive e-mail notifications on the production process as well as when it’s ready to ship.

I hope this new structure will help customers that are interested in ordering Pre-order items to customize their purchases and make their item more unique and personalized. Due to this new structure, Custom Clothing Commissions (ones that I have to design and create patterns from scratch) will be limited to 2-6/month. The Luxour Academy items are ready for Pre-order!  I’ve been working on the designs for a bit now and have finally finished the first couple of pieces for Luxour Academy!  Currently the collection only offers pre-orders for MSD girls (in both Unoa and MSD sizes) but will expand to include other sizes in the near future.  Please stay tuned!

I’ve also made some major changes to www.Princesstapi.com in the last couple of days.  Items have been re-organized into different sections and it should make it much easier to navigate.  Basically all items for a specific type/size doll will be in 2 different categories: In Stock & Pre-order.  Pre-order items will take 1-2 weeks production time.  You can also select from a range of fabrics/colour, and other details right at the product page!!!  This should help make this pre-order process easier and smoother for everyone!

Hi Everyone!

Custom Clothing & Custom Commissions will be temporarily unavailable due to restocking of the shop as well as a joint project with Charles’ Creature Cabinet.  Please contact me as soon as possible if you want to place a custom order before the closing date.  The closing date as well as the length of closure will be announced shortly.

There will be some changes to Princess Tapi in the very near future.  I have started a new line of clothing/accessories called Luxour Academy.  Luxour Academy will feature a line of clothing and accessories that will be available for Pre-order at Princess Tapi as well as some of our Authorized Retailers.  Chantal Doll’s Alley will be one of our European Retailers, as well as a few more in discussion right now.  Princess Tapi will be focusing on Custom Orders/Commissions only.  The shop will carry in-stock and pre-order items from the Luxour Academy line as well as the gateway to order Custom Clothing & Face-up commissions.

Due to this new arrangement, Custom Commissions and orders will be available in a set schedule (to be announced shortly).  Thanks for your continuous support and I hope this new arrangement will allow me to create more in-stock items for the shop.

I am very excited to have this wonderful boy joining my doll family very soon!  This super cute custom Chiwoo is customized by Sweetly Twisted and will be shipped from the Netherlands!  He will be my first boy BJD and I really can’t wait to see him in person.  He’s got the Minifée Active Body (yummm… hehehe).  He should be arriving in 2-3 weeks so I’ll definitely take some pix of him when he arrives!  But until then… Here are a few photos of him…

Aside from all the excitement with the All Dolls Fair in the Netherlands, I’ve been busy with a lot of personal stuff as well as smaller projects (custom clothes commissions).  Here are a couple of projects that I’ve completed in the last 2 months:

This was a Holly Pullip.  The owner wanted to redo her Eye makeup (only eyeliner and eyeshadow were customized, everything else was stock).

Unfortunately the stock didn’t get to the Netherlands on time (it arrived at Chantal’s on Wednesday of this week) so the items weren’t being displayed at the the Dolls Fair.  However, these items are now available at Chantal Dolls Alley and can be purchased directly through their website.

This was definitely very disappointing to me because apparently the package sat at the Dutch Customs for about a week… and the package wasn’t even opened!  Lesson learned:  Ship at least 3 weeks ahead of time if shipping to the Netherlands! lol….

There will be more collaborations later on this year so hopefully more items will be added to the Dolls Fair in December.
